RIDE MADANI
The “MALAYSIA MADANI” initiative prioritises development and the people, and embodies the core values of “Sustainability, Prosperity, Innovation, Respect, Trust, and Compassion.” As the “Belt and Road” initiative evolves into its second decade, expanding into the digital, AI, and green sectors, new trends like the Digital Silk Road, Green Belt and Road, and Health Silk Road have emerged.
The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) stands as a comprehensive, modern free trade agreement, globally representing the largest economic and trade pact with a substantial population.
In 2022, RCEP officially took effect in Malaysia. This year, in 2023, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of both the “Belt and Road” initiative and the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia. And 2024 shall mark the 50th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. Throughout these historical milestones, the China-Malaysia cooperation has yielded remarkable results.
Adhering to the principles of “MALAYSIA MADANI,” we actively engage in the “Belt and Road” initiative. With the support of RCEP, RCEP Innovation and Digital Ecosystem (RIDE) MADANI is launched. The RIDE MADANI aims to create a digital ecosystem demonstration zone in Malaysia for green sustainable development, where Chinese and Malaysian enterprises are welcome to collaborate and share resources within this digital economy.
RIDE MADANI Alliance is established to facilitate RIDE MADANI, aiming to integrate resources and foster innovative cooperation across digital, AI, and green industries to drive RIDE MADANI’s formation and growth. This alliance strives to make China and Malaysia global exemplars in digital, AI, and green economies, advocating for sustainable development.
The RIDE MADANI Alliance introduces the “3×100” plan, which we aspire to achieve within a span of 5 years, to ensure the systematic implementation of RIDE MADANI.
The alliance will collectively build the RIDE MADANI demonstration zone in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to house five centres dedicated to various digital ecosystem needs. This includes the regional headquarters centre for the digital economy, digital technology research and development centre, training centre, digital trade centre, and digital settlement centre. This will establish Kuala Lumpur as the headquarters base for RIDE MADANI.
We firmly believe that, propelled by the combined effects of the alliance’s “3×100” plan and the demonstration zone, RCEP Innovation and Digital Ecosystem (RIDE) MADANI will help China and Malaysia in further connecting the worlds of the 21st-century and the future, through digital technology, resource leveraging, talent development and integration, and cultural exchange.
We anticipate that the alliance members will assist China and Malaysia in constructing new competitive advantages in emerging industries, optimising industrial structures through digital transformation, and creating transnational, advantageous industrial chains across the Asia-Pacific, integrating into the global value chain.
We earnestly invite leading companies in the digital, AI, and green sectors, financial institutions, and government-business entities to join the RIDE MADANI Alliance. Together, let us build RIDE MADANI, and contribute to the sustainable development of the global digital, AI, and green economies.
We have launched the Malaysia-China Digital, AI, and green Development Fund, the world’s first Renminbi-Ringgit dual-currency fund, inviting strategic investors globally. The first phase is initiated in Malaysia with an estimated scale of 1 billion Ringgit; the second phase shall extend to Southeast Asia with an estimated scale of 3 billion Ringgit; the third phase will further expand to other countries within RCEP, with a scale of over 10 billion Ringgit.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step; a nine-story tower starts with the first shovel of earth. We believe that through partnership and collaboration between Chinese and Malaysian enterprises, RIDE MADANI shall become a beacon that illuminates Southeast Asia.
